Chicago Cubs vs. Milwaukee Brewers • Oct 4, 2025

In a decisive Game 1 of the NLDS, the Milwaukee Brewers overpowered the Chicago Cubs with a final score of 9-3, fueled by a rough outing from Cubs starter Matthew Boyd, who got knocked around for 6 runs in just 0.2 innings. The Brewers' Freddy Peralta gave his team a quality start, striking out 9 over 5.2 innings, while Michael Busch, Ian Happ, and Nico Hoerner provided the only offense for the Cubs with home runs, though it was not enough to overcome the Brewers' early lead.
