St. Louis Cardinals vs. Pittsburgh Pirates • Sep 24, 2026

In a tightly contested game, the Pittsburgh Pirates edged out the St. Louis Cardinals 2-1, thanks to Paul Skenes who threw a gem with 6.1 innings of 1-run ball and 8 strikeouts, while Alec Burleson's early home run was not enough to secure a victory as Ryne Stanek struggled in the eighth, allowing the winning run to score on a sacrifice fly.
